WANdisco is led by a seasoned team of software executives who have served on the boards and advisory boards of a number of Silicon Valley start-up ventures. The team consists of individuals who have built companies from inception to successful exit and people who are regarded as worldwide authorities in the field of distributed computing, network protocols and Java development.
David Richards
President & CEO
Mr. Richards has over 15 years as an executive in the software industry and sits on both boards and advisory boards of Silicon Valley start-up ventures. Mr. Richards is a veteran of several successful start-up companies in Enterprise Software and is recognized as an industry leader in both EAI and EAI standards. He has spoken and written widely about standards in application integration and the adoption of open-source technologies.
Prior to WANdisco, Mr. Richards served as the President and CEO of Librados, where he took the company from an early stage technology company to exponential customer and revenue growth. David led the company's acquisition by NetManage (Nasdaq:NETM) just over a year after joining the company. Following the successful acquisition he joined the executive management team of NetManage where he served as Vice President and General Manager.
Prior to Librados, David was the President and CEO of Insevo, Inc. where he raised venture capital from the world largest venture capital fund, 3i. After becoming a recognized leader in the middleware space the company was acquired.
David has also served on the boards of ObjectWeb, a leading open source application server company based in France and the EAI Industry Consortium where he also chaired the adapter committee.
David currently serves on the boards and advisory boards of several technology companies. He is a strategic advisor to NEC Corporation, where he advises the head of NEC software group (Japan) to define open source strategy. David holds a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Huddersfield, England.

Jim Campigli

Jim Campigli
has over twenty years of software industry experience at both early-stage and public companies.
In his previous role as a founder and CTO of Librados, Jim was responsible for overall product strategy and product messaging, and served as an evangelist for Librados' standards based approach to enterprise application integration. Jim was a member of the management team that led the company's acquisition by Netmanage, Inc. Following the successful acquisition, Jim joined Netmanage as CTO for the Librados products group.
Prior to Librados, Jim was the VP of Product Management for Insevo, Inc., a middleware company specializing in enterprise application integration. After becoming a recognized leader in the middleware space the company was acquired. Jim also held senior product management and consulting management positions at BEA Systems and SAP. Jim holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Yeturu Aahlad
Chief Scientist & Inventor
Dr. Aahlad
is a recognized world-wide authority on distributed computing where he currently holds 3 patents. It was Dr. Aahlad's vision and persistence that led to the
invention of technology that many thought was impossible - that of active-active replication (WANdisco's patent pending DConE technology). Prior to WANdisco,
Dr. Aahlad served as the distributed systems architect for iPlanet (Sun/Netscape Alliance) Application Server. At Netscape, Dr. Aahlad joined the elite team
in charge of creating a new server platform based on the CORBA distributed object framework.
Prior to Sun/Netscape Dr. Aahlad worked on incorporating the CORBA security service into Fujitsu's Object Request Broker. Dr. Aahlad designed and implemented the CORBA event services while working on Sun's first CORBA initiative. Earlier in his career, Dr. Aahlad worked on a distributed programming language at IBM's Palo Alto Scientific Center.
Dr. Aahlad has a Ph.D in distributed computing from the University of Texas, Austin and a BS in EE from IIT Madras.
Peter Scott
Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Mr. Scott has over 10 years of direct sales and sales management experience in both early stage
startup and mature public technology companies. Prior to WANdisco, Peter was a member of the
sales management team at Empirix's highly successful Web Business Unit, which was acquired by
Oracle. Prior to Empirix, he was part of the sales management team at Vecta Software, a CRM
and Business Intelligence software vendor, recognized as EMEA’s leading on-demand Sales
Intelligence company. He began his career with Sales Dynamics a sales and marketing consulting
company, helping early stage venture backed technology companies establish sales processes that
enabled them to achieve aggressive revenue targets.
Prior to his career in technology sales, Mr. Scott spent six years in the British Army with the Royal Engineers. He was awarded the accumulated campaign service medal for serving over 1000 days in Northern Ireland.
Robert Budas
Vice President of Product Management
Rob Budas has over 25 years of software industry experience, with the last 15 years focused on the Software Configuration Management sector.
Prior to joining WANdisco, Rob had worked at IBM Rational for 8 years where he was a Sr. Product Manager for Rational ClearCase. He has
held various development, technical sales and product management roles throughout his career. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer
and Communication Science from the University of Michigan.
Ross Bray
Vice President of European Operations
Ross Bray
has over 10 years operational management experience within the IT and Communications industry. Ross was part of the Senior Management team at
UK ISP PlusNet that led the company to a successful flotation on the FTSE Alternative Investment Market in 2004. Ross was also part of the
transitional management team for the eventual sale of PlusNet to BT in 2007.
In addition to PlusNet Ross has also worked within the NHS Connecting for Health project, the largest IT project within the UK as well as a number of start-up businesses.
Hyrum Wright

Hyrum Wright
is currently president of the Subversion Corporation and has been the release manager for the Subversion project since early 2008. He is a frequent
presenter on Subversion related topics at industry conferences. During his involvement with the Subversion project, Hyrum has worked on a number of
major Subversion features including merge tracking and the next generation working copy library (wc-ng). Hyrum holds an M.S. in Computer Engineering
from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently working toward a PhD in Software Engineering at the same University. Hyrum received his B.S.
in Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University.
