About Subversion
Apache Subversion (SVN) is a popular version control system. It is used to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation, and is the leading open source centralized version control system. A 2007 report by Forrester Research recognized Subversion as the sole leader in the Standalone Software Configuration Management (SCM) category and a strong performer in the Software Configuration and Change Management (SCCM) category.
Subversion is released under the Apache License, making it free software. Both Apache and Subversion are registered trademarks of the Apache Software Foundation.

WANdisco Certified, Supported Subversion Binaries
Many organizations recognize the value of open source solutions such as Subversion, but require the security provided by a commercial software vendor’s support contract to eliminate the risks from both a business continuity and legal perspective. WANdisco's certified, fully supported Subversion binaries eliminate these risks by providing a complete, fully tested and supported version of Subversion based on the most recent stable release, including the latest fixes delivered by automatic update.
The software is backed by our dedicated team of Subversion development, QA and support professionals focused exclusively on delivering the highest quality version of the software. Our developers have been involved in the Subversion open source project since its inception and have the status within the community to make changes to Subversion's code base. This ensures fast delivery of fixes and enhancements. The team is led by Hyrum Wright, WANdisco’s Director of Open Source. Hyrum is president of the Subversion Corporation and has been the release manager for Subversion since early 2008.
WANdisco offers four levels of enterprise-class Subversion support: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus. All four levels include automatic updates, an easy to use UI for administering Subversion and WANdisco’s Security solution that provides access control and audit capabilities for Subversion. Indemnification is also available with our Platinum and Platinum Plus level support contracts.

Enterprise Subversion
Subversion LAN Clustering
Enterprise Class Performance, Scalability, Availability and Backup for Large Subversion Deployments at a Single Location
With Subversion Clustering, a central Subversion server is no longer a single point of failure, or performance bottleneck. By combining WANdisco’s unique replication technology with Zeus’ intelligent load balancing software, Subversion can be deployed in an active/active cluster that delivers optimum performance, scalability and availability, with built-in continuous hot backup. If servers go down, users won’t notice and administrators won’t have to do anything. Failover is immediate and transparent and recovery is automatic. Downtime and data loss are completely eliminated.
Subversion WAN Clustering (MultiSite)
Enterprise Class Performance, Scalability, Availability and Backup for Globally Distributed Subversion Deployments
Subversion WAN Clustering (MultiSite) leverages WANdisco's unique replication technology to enable Subversion servers to be deployed in an active/active cluster over a wide area network (WAN). Users at every location experience local area network (LAN) speed performance for both read and write operations. At the same time Subversion servers connected over a WAN stay continuously in sync, so that developers at every site always have access to the latest changes. Subversion WAN Clustering (MultiSite) also provides continuous hot backup and self-healing capabilities that automate disaster recovery for full 24-by-7 operation. Downtime and data loss are completely eliminated.
